Announcement during New England Patriots' MVP luncheon held May 31, 2007, Gillette Stadium, Foxboro, MA: "Joy Cordio and several other volunteers started Harvest Homes, a program of Westerly Area Rest Meals that provides supportive housing for homeless families in southern Rhode Island. What began as a single apartment has become four apartments helping families move from homelessness to independence. In just the past year, Harvest Homes has helped five families get back on track by providing furnished apartments under Joy’s direction."
